Maersk is looking for a candidate to take up the role of a DIRECT TRANSPORT SALES REPRESENTATIVE in Douala, Cameroon. Besides, The Sales Representative plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth by actively seeking out and engaging prospective customers especially those in the concerned vertical. This position involves building strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, presenting product offerings, negotiating contracts, and closing sales. The Sales Representative will work closely with the sales team, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and maintain a deep understanding of the market to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Main Responsibilities:
Identify potential customers and generate leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research.

Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive offerings.

Qualify leads based on defined criteria and prioritize efforts to maximize sales opportunities.

Engage with prospects to understand their business requirements and present relevant product solutions.

Conduct compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations, showcasing key features and benefits.

Sales Reporting and Pipeline Management.

Sales Negotiation and Closing.

Address customer inquiries, objections, and concerns, providing accurate and timely information to build trust and confidence.

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, understanding their unique needs and challenges.

Regularly communicate with existing customers to provide product updates, address concerns, and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, and customer experience to align sales efforts and achieve business objectives.

Key Requirements:
+2 years of experience in Sales and Logistics.

French and English Fluency.

Excellent knowledge of MS package.

Good Power BI knowledge is an Advantage.

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the FMCG and retail industry.

 Strong understanding of Ocean transport, and market dynamics, as well as value added services.

Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent negotiation and closing abilities.

Self-motivated with a strong drive for results and a passion for exceeding targets.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales productivity tools.

 Willingness to travel and meet with clients as needed.
