Summary of Position:

Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant role is responsible for preparing journal entries, general ledger and bank account reconciliations, audit schedules, as well as assisting on various accounting related projects and initiatives.



Position Responsibilities:

Prepare advanced journal entries, including ASC 606 entries, accruals, deferrals
Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting principles and company policies
Conduct  comprehensive analysis of revenue and other key accounts
Prepare monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records and identifying any discrepancies or variances for timely resolution
Act as a key player in the completion of annual financial statement audit, working closely with auditors and assisting in the preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation
Conduct research and analysis on newly issued US GAAP accounting standards and provide guidance and recommendations on their implantation to ensure compliance and accurate reporting
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and cross-functional teams on various projects, providing ad hoc reporting and information
as needed
Assist with other accounting functions/ special projects as needed
Make recommendations and suggestions for improvements and efficiencies related to accounting functions and processes
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting and an active CPA license are required
6+ years experience of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on General Ledger accounting
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel experience with (Oracle NetSuite) preferred.
Experience in public accounting and private equity/M&A experience preferred
Effective time management skills, ensuring efficient task prioritization and completion
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to delivering high quality work
Able to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Able to work MT or PT time zone hours
